Key Responsibilities ● Manage and maintain accurate financial records using Tally software. ● Ensure timely and accurate filing of GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, annual returns) and compliance with GST regulations. ● Handle all aspects of TDS compliance, including deduction, deposit, and filing of TDS returns (Form 26Q, 24Q, etc.) within stipulated deadlines. ● Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of transactions and balances. ● Maintain comprehensive ledger accounts, ensuring proper classification and recording of all financial transactions. ● Process sales and purchase entries, including invoicing, recording receipts and payments, and reconciling accounts. ● Assist in the preparation of key financial statements, including Balance Sheets, Profit & Loss Statements, and Cash Flow Statements. ● Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable, actively follow up on overdue invoices, and contribute to maintaining healthy cash flow. ● Support internal and external audits by assisting in the preparation of audit schedules and providing necessary documentation. ● Stay current with changes in Indian tax laws, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements (GST, TDS, etc.). ● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement improvements in accounting processes for enhanced efficiency. ● Consult monthly audits and prepare Management Information System (MIS) reports. ● Coordinate with banks for various financial operations. ● Coordinate with clients regarding outstanding payments and resolve discrepancies. ● Help with tender-related paperwork. Qualifications ● Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. ● Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience as an Accountant, preferably in a similar industry. ● Strong understanding of Indian tax laws, including GST regulations and TDS provisions. ● Proficiency in using Tally ERP. ● Competence in MS Office applications, especially Excel. ● Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail. ● Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. ● Strong verbal and written communication skills. ● Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team. ● High level of integrity, ethical conduct, and commitment to maintaining confidentiality in financial matters.
